BEADED SCARF
   Barbara Danskin   9:30 - 10:30                           $10. Barbara Danskin will teach how to incorporate beads into knitting a scarf.  Materials needed include about 300  6/0 round beads; sport weight or light worsted yarn (@150 yds.);  size 12 crochet hook and size 10 or 10.5 knitting needles. The pattern is included with the class. Basic knitting skills are necessary.  Homework:  Cast on 24 sts.  Seed st. for 12 rows. (row 1 – K1,P1; row 2 – P1, K1)
SOCKS 101    Deb Guard   9:30 – 11:30         3 sessions                  $30.
Deb will teach the basic sock pattern using Saratoga Knits Baby Sock and Hat Pattern.Each stage of the sock will be focused on while you knit the toddler socks.  You will need experience in working with 4 double point needles.  If you are not certain about this please stop at the shop and we will help you.  Materials include Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece yarn and size 5 double pointed needles.
INTRO TO CROCHET   Trish DeCerbo      11:00-Noon                 $10.Trish will teach the basics of crochet including, chain, single and double crochet.  You will need and F or G crochet hook and yarn.


Saturday Jan. 10th

SEAMS  Judy Anderson's Successful Sweater Class   10:00 - noon         $30.

We will cover mattress stitch, 3 needle bind-off, crochet chain seams and grafting (time permitted).  Make seams the favorite part of your sweater!!!
KNIT/CROCHET SCARF       Trish DeCerbo      11 – 12:30           $10.

Trish will blend both fiber art skills in teaching this scarf pattern.  You will need about 330 yards of worsted wgt yarn, size 8 needle and I  crochet hook.  Cascade Cloud is recommended.  Advanced beginner  knitting skills are required.


Saturday Jan. 17th

FELTED HAT       Barbara Danskin        9:30 – 11:00                            $10.

Barbara will introduce a great  hat pattern that is easily felted.  Knowledge of circular needles and double points is required. We will be using the Plymouth rim hat pattern,  A list of materials will be given you when you sign up.
CROCHET BAG  Trish Decerbo     1:00 – 2:30     2 sessions       $20.

Trish will share a fantastic crochet bag with those attending.  You will need worsted weight cotton yarn or wool and a size G crochet hook


Saturday Jan 24th

Deb will teach this great vest-shrug pattern by Plymouth  (N026).   It is knitting in bulky alpaca yarns using size 11 needles.  One size fits all.  It is a delightful sweater.  Session 2 on Sat. Feb. 21st.

Trish will be teaching a basic mitten pattern – child or adult size. You will need about 200 yds pf worsted wgt yarn, one set of size 4 and size 6 double point needles, stitch markers. Pattern to be used: Saratoga Knits “Saratoga Mittens”.

We will be knitting and felting the Noni “Rose and Black Bag and Ruffle.  Included in

We will celebrate Valentine’s Day by learning how to needle felt.  Among other things we will make a great Valentine’s Day favor.  You will need roving, felting needle and a block of foam.

THE FELTED BAG   Barbara Danskin         3 sessions       9:30 – 11am

Brought back by popular demand…. the famous Felted Bag.  Techniques including I-cord bind off and knitted ridges will be taught.  Some experience on double pointed needles is needed.  Please pick up the pattern and materials before the day of the class.

Bring your stash yarn and learn to combine colors while making a horizontal style scarf. You will also be learning flexible cast on and bind off as well as fringing.

This is a darling shrug vest made from 4 skeins of Plymouth Alpaca Grande.  You will need Plymouth pattern # NO26, 4 skeins of Baby Alpaca Grande and size 11 – 24 “ circular needles.  Knitting and purling skills are necessary.

Marion Schling will teach the techniques of knitting lace while knitters experience making a scarf or shawl. Grid reading will be taught. Choice of yarn and appropriate needle size is at the discretion of the knitter . If using sock yarn wgt. You will need 200 grams and size 3 needles. 2nd session will be March 21st.

BEYOND THE BASICS  Harriet Levy   11:30 – 12:30  4 sessions  $10 ea or 4/$30- Harriet will take beginner knitters beyond basic garter and stockinette stitch. Session #1 will include various knit/purl combinations, reading a pattern and the incorporation of borders to keep knitting from rolling.  You will need 2 balls of Sugar and Crème or comparable cotton fiber and size 7 or 8 needles.

Learn how to knit a great shrug using bulky yarn and the Plymouth Pattern NO26.
Noni Felted Bag  Barbara Hildreth 9:30 -10:30
 2 sessions (5/2) $15.

Learn to knit one of 2 felted bags from a great Noni Pattern. Colors of yarns to be used vary depending on your choice of the small striped bag or the larger solid color bag. Both bags can be adorned with felted flowers.
Beyond the Basics #4      11:30 – 12:30
This is the last session of this class.  You will learn how to bind off  the mock aran wash clothe and how to make a picot bind-off.

Saturday April 25th
Intro to Crochet Trish DeCerbo 10-11:30 $10.
Learn the basics of crochet during this 90 min. class. You will need an F or G hook and scrap yarn.
Intro To Lace 10 - 11 am = Marion Schling $25.
The techniques to lace knitting and chart reading will be key to these classes. You will need about 450 yds of finfering wgt yarn and size 3 needles. There are many options in creating this scarf or shawl pattern. (2nd session 5/9)
Baby Surprise Sweater Barbara Hildreth 11:30-12:30 $15. 2 sessions (May 9th)
Learn this great Zimmerman patttern. You will need @370 yards of worsted wgt yarn and size 6 or 7 needles. Pattern in included.

This is a great class to learn all about CABLES.  You will be knitting a beautiful dishcloth learning basic strategies of yarnovers and cable design.  Size 8 needles and Sugar and Cream or a cotton yarn are recommended.  Because of the pattern – a solid color is preferred.
